|Admin history||Peter A S Pool (1933-1996), was a solicitor with the Penzance firm Pool, Purchase and Stokes. A letter from him when he sold his house in October 1987 mentions that he has virtually retired from practice. In one of his notebooks he writes [probably in the late 1970s] that he is a bard; fellow of Society of Antiquaries; Henwood medallist; past president of Penzance Old Cornwall Society (5 times); past president of Royal Institution of Cornwall (and now editor); treasurer of the Cornish Language Board; member of Board of Cornish Studies; author of 'History of Penzance' and other books.
