Ellis also captured some more unusual events, such as Nigerian potter Ladi Kwali giving a demonstration of her skills at Wenford Bridge pottery in 1961. The series of pictures also feature Michael Cardew (the owner of the pottery) who had worked with Kwali in Nigeria, and Bernard Leach, famed founder of The Leach Pottery in St Ives.
