Line drawing referencing a theatre round

In 1969 Bristol University Drama Department performed The Cornish Ordinalia at Perran Round, directed by Neville Denny. The programme notes that the production aimed to capture the “popularity…vitality…robustness and colour” of the medieval performances, which were taking place for the first time in over 300 years. This plan by Richard Southern shows the performance area for Day 3 of the production. Image courtesy of the University of Bristol Theatre Collection.
