Key information: free, on-site visit, 2.5 hours, Key Stage 2 and 3
In summer 2021 four unique historic Cornish language manuscripts returned to Cornwall for the first time in centuries, where they were united under one roof for the first time in history. The manuscripts are all Cornish language play scripts, and this September we are offering a special workshop for Key Stage 2 and 3 children exploring and celebrating their history, and the culture and language they represent, as well as a chance to see this very special exhibition.
Visits are still available to book in September (the exhibition closes on September 25). They will last up to 2.5 hours and can take place as either a morning session or afternoon session, for one class at a time.

Visits to Kresen Kernow
We offer free, facilitated school visits to Kresen Kernow. We are able to accommodate one class at a time in our dedicated learning rooms, and visits can last up to 3 hours. A visit will typically entail a tour of the building, including our secure strongrooms, home to 14 miles of shelving and 850 years of history, as well as a workshop on your chosen theme using original Cornish documents from our collections.
Please note: we adhere to Ofsted and Department for Education guidelines for staff-pupil ratios. For more information, please read A teacher’s guide to visiting Kresen Kernow (2021).
